I tried a small piece of electrical tape over the speaker. Definitely reduces the tinny sound that was there originally. May cut off a bit too much of the higher frequency content, but I think it may be worth it. I like to set my phone down and listen to tunes while I am working on projects around the house, and I think it sounds better with the tape in place.

Sometimes, I hold the speaker up close to my mouth and move my mouth around to make it sound like a whammy bar.

Why the hell am I the only one doesn't understand the first post. Which speaker is being covered? Loud or ear speaker during normal or speakerphone calls?

If you put your finger on the the speaker on the top of the touch pro, you get WAY better sound. I believe the reason is that the sound waves pretty much hit your ear evenly, rather than hitting your left/right ear more than the other. With the case I have, I think I can probably completely block it off and get really good sound for good. I think It's a little less loud, but I'll sacrifice a few decibels for better quality sound.

Have anyone tried lowering the volume? I get the same effect by dropping the volume a bit.

Oh, I thought that this was during calls. During music at sound better but a little lower.

Try holding the phone from the top, wrapping your finger around the the whole back. This increases the quality and keeps the level.
