Re: Touch Pro: Won't charge while tethering
Try a different USB port? you might not be plugged into one that is a main hub...

Re: Touch Pro: Won't charge while tethering
I believe this is a normal occurrence. When you use data for a lengthy period of time via Wifi router or tethering the phone will heat up. I think the (battery) overheating is what prevents the phone from charging. Just disconnect for a while, let the phone cool down, and you're back in business. I had the same issue with the mogul.

I never had this issue either. Its getting pretty common to see threads about the phone not wanting to charge though.

Tether with the Internet sharing app. Mine charges when I use that. Wmwifirouter kills your battery, even when plugged in

Re: Touch Pro: Won't charge while tethering
Maybe I just kept on getting the bad batch but for every Mogul I got (had a few replacements) they all had the same issue. Granted, if you were tethering for a short period of time you would not have an issue but if for instance streaming/downloading large files for a longer period of time that kept the data session active the whole time would cause the overheating. A 2 hour Orb session would easily do it.

Re: Touch Pro: Won't charge while tethering
now The gave me a new battery, it seems not to get as hot as it did before, so Now I'ma goin to test and see if it stops charging....BOOTLEG FIX: take off battery cover and place you hand over the battery....you body absorbs the heat and battery keeps charging!
