Jawbone or TP issue?

I'm having issues with my new Jawbone II headset. It has various clicking notices (not constant) and the terrible part is that it was have a loud, high pitched noise that starts randomly and stops randomly, it sometimes take 5 seconds, sometimes I have to end the call, during that I can't hear the person. Very embarising.

I've traded it 2 times already, ALIPH (maker) support is telling me that it is my phone. I've used other BT headsets and they don't have this issue... What could it be? I've tried other ROMs, but maybe they are using the same BT stack? I do have WIFI in the house, but I have it set to only 802.11g and on channel 5.

Re: Jawbone or TP issue?

my b/f has the Jawbone 2 and he complains daily about that loud noise. We were attributing it to the basic area he was driving through on his daily commute because the symptoms matched the route. I'm using the J2 on my Diamond and haven't experienced either action. Might want to trouble shoot a bit and see if you can "make" the screech occur.

Re: Jawbone or TP issue?

I for one can not duplicate it since it only happened twice in several months, am thinking may be an interference from another RF unit....MY 2Cents

Re: Jawbone or TP issue?

I think it may be my WIFI, I don't seem to experience it when I have it turned off. But, I can't find a channel that it doesn't have a problem with. I have a standard Netgear router, can't understand how this can happen...

Re: Jawbone or TP issue?

Happens constantly, I don't have BT on my notebook (older unit). I've switched off 802.11b (now only 802.11g), tried one channel at a time on the router, no relief. I was almost certain it was a defect in the BT chip on the phone, but pretty sure it isn't.

TP battery levels at various levels, 100%, 80%, 50%, etc. happens at all of them.
Tried various levels of charge on J2 as well.

Pretty frustrating, I can't really think of anything else to try. Either use no bluetooth headsets, replace my routers with another type/brand, etc.?

Re: Jawbone or TP issue?

Followup to message above: unplugged my wireless router, turned off PC that does have bluetooth, even though it was disabled, still getting the "static" or "zapping" or "loud buzzing". Can anyone else duplicate this scenerio:
I have the TP in my back left jeans pocket, the JB2 in my right ear (so they are farthest away from each other), I get pretty constant static, if I cover the TP with my hand, it gets horrible! My thought at this point is that something with the phone is the cause of these issues, like they need to be inches away from each other for a good connection, but I'm hoping I can get a few people who can give me feedback.

Also, if this does or does not happen to you, can you tell me the ROM you are using? I'm using Juggalo v0.05B for Sprint.

Re: Jawbone or TP issue?

Ah ok, Jason. I am using Sprint stock man, no issues. See if you can pair your J2 with a friends TP running stock, or yours if you can flash it back to stock, that may be the problem right there..

Re: Jawbone or TP issue?

All of you sounds like suffering from bad bluetooth reception.

i have jb2 with TP but my jb2 doesnt suffer from that problem.

Try using channel 1 and or 4 with bluetooth compatibility on to see if that helps. Though i think probllem is bad bluetooth chip..
