I did follow the directions (to the T), and am not experiencing the GPS enjoyment I had hoped for... :-)

Re: 12/25/08 Verizon GPS Fix v2.0
I tried following the directions in the first post for a fresh install (not having done Phase I) and no joy yet. I am unable to locate this "Location ON" thing though. Can anyone describe a little bit clearly where this setting is?
This is my first winmo device so I'm a little new with the interface, but am quick to pick up on things. |

AWESOME.... It didn't work the first time, but followed steps 6-13 a second time, and it started working... btw make sure you set google maps to "manual, com4, 4800 baud"

Re: 12/25/08 Verizon GPS Fix v2.0
Using the HTC GPS Tool, I can now see "Satellites Used:" increasing, seen as high as 5 or so. But nothing ever gets Fixed. And Google Maps sees nothing. Any ideas?
Am I correct to assume that since it is using the satellites now, that the GPS is "unlocked" correctly at least? EDIT: Live Search doesn't seem to be connecting to the satellites either. Just displays "Waiting for GPS..." for a while then says it lost the connection :( |
