Not sure if you know this or not but I was asked a little while back by a titan user about the verizon agps settings. I found that VZW switched to server authentication which is why you guys are having to use other carriers servers for agps. It's most likely done that way to force anyone that wants to use verizons resources to use not only their software but pay for the service aswell.

SO if I use a custom ROM and use the Telus server settings on the GPSOnce chip and in the registry, I don't need to worry about using your cab's?

Yeah, but I figured I'd post it here in case no one has seen it. I thought it was interesting, even though it's a half horsesh*t excuse coming from that rat faced b*stard in the first place. It is good to hear, though.

-= For those of us who don't read instructions =-

For those of you who flashed a Sprint Touch Pro to Verizon, this GPS fix will give you a Verizon PRI.

If you've flashed this fix to an Alltel phone, you're now stuck w/ a Verizon PRI also (which will give you the roaming triangle.... and tell you you're in 'digital roam') ... until now.

Here is the PPST PRI update for Alltel for the Diamond & Touch Pro. This will get you back to PRI 1.28_011. Also, if you're trying to migrate a Diamond/Touch Pro from Sprint/Verizon/Telus/etc. to Alltel you'll also want this PRI.

Instructions to install:

1. Download PPST_080714_VictorC_Alltel_1.28_delta.sa.zip and unzip.
2. Connect your phone with ActiveSync and transfer PPST_080714_VictorC_Alltel_1.28_delta.sa.cab to your phone.
3. Run PPST_080714_VictorC_Alltel_1.28_delta.sa.cab from your phone
4. Using File Explorer (or total commander, or whatever you have...) go to \windows and launch PPST.exe
5. Answer yes at the prompts. Your phone will now reboot.
6. Go to start -> Settings -> Device Information and check to make sure your PRI version is now 1.28_011
7. Dial *228 and then select 1 to program your phone OTA. This should download the latest PRL for you and get your phone back out roaming, etc.

Special thanks to Conflipper who found the signed Victor rom I was able to rip this out of. I've tested this personally on two Touch Pros. However, as with everything else... use at your own risk.

hello all, and thanks in advance. just graduated from the xv6800, now have xv6850 which through my reading find that it's a CDMA Rapheal. on Titan i had to run the QPST via ##3424, if i remember correctly, to change the settings for the fix, is that the case here or just the cab from post 1? again, thanks in advance. BTW, have already unlocked and flashed to Mighty5!

Using an Audiovox 6700 Alltell phone, had the digital roaming problem and tried this. It said NVItem failed and the device is rebooting now I get no service at all. I can't send texts or send calls but can receive them. How do I fix this exactly?
