First, when the instructions say specifically not to do something its probably advisable not to do it. But I wont beat you up further because youve already gotten enough punishment with having a worthless phone right now.

1. Have you tried to do a hard reset?

2. I would check your PRL/PRI settings and see if they match what default ones should be for Alltell because they might be set to something else.

3. Try to reflash to the Alltel stock rom.

I did read the first post. I was told By a friend that this would be ok cause he did it to his phone and it supposedly worked for him. I got the Gps to work its just roaming and staying in 1x. From reading the post it looks like everyone has had the roaming issue. He messed with it today and cant figure out what to do. apparently hes not as smart as he thought. oh and hard reset was not an option it did nothing other than wipe my data.

Try reflashing to the stock Alltel rom.

Cool, but what I was looking for QPST for was to set the AGPS settings. I'm seeing conflicting messages as to whether aGPS works or not, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to set the server, etc. in qpst.

If you are having trouble with these steps, and are on Verizon, then these steps still work (from GC)...

http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index...VerizonAGPSFix

I just performed these steps on my TouchPro (Sprint TP but on VZW service), I get 15 second locks (max) everytime from cold start

===
If you are NOT on Verizon, then the same steps still apply, but use the corresponding IP below...

----------------------------------------------------------

Alltel: (credit goes to Blaine12 at PPCgeeks)

PDE IP Address = 205.142.19.100
PDE Port Number = 8888
PDE Transport = IP
Position Calculation = mobile

Bell: (credit goes to 88fingerslukee as PPCgeeks)

PDE IP Address: 206.47.201.75
PDE Port number: 8888
PDE Transport: IP
Position Calculation: mobile

Cricket: (credit goes to loc37 at PPCgeeks) <--(not 100% tested. let me know if it works for you cricket folks)

PDE IP Address = 172.29.223.11
PDE Port Number = 8080
PDE Transport = IP
Position Calculation = mobile

MetroPCS: (credit goes to fred_dj at ppcgeeks)

Server IP Address = 198.17.1.0
Server Port Number = 3425
PDE Transport = IP
Position Calcultation = PDE ( Using mobile will work, but takes forever )
------------------------------------------------------------

Telus: (proly some nuck)

PDE IP Address = 216.198.139.92
PDE Port Number = 8889
PDE Transport = IP
Position Calculation = mobile

Sprint: (this works according to reeg420, thanks!)
PDE IP Address = 68.28.31.49
PDE Port Number = 5017
PDE Transport = IP
Position Calculation = mobile (PDE may work better for sprint)

Re: 12/25/08 Verizon GPS Fix v2.0

Crobs,

That fix (and the drivers included in GC's post) are for the XV6800, not the touch pro. This whole thread is an update to the original work GC did for the Titan.

Could you clarify, sorry if I am misunderstanding you. aGPS seems to be down and you are saying it is working for your Touch Pro?

aGPS does not function on the Verizon TouchPro. Also I am corresponding with some other device owners and it seems that Verizon has implimented server side authentication. There aGPS that use to work now no longer does. I had to request that change their settings to the Alltel settings to confirm and sure enough it worked. So it seems that Verizon is now blocking requests that do not originate from their Navigation Software.
