I checked my settings and sure enough they had been changed. So I only changed the repeat length and guess what? back to laggy typing. I put it back to where the changes had put it and still laggy.

I wonder if the reg changes makes a difference that the on-screen adjustments can't

the only way i can see that the register change makes a difference is that even if u slide the bar onscreen to the lowest position, it'll still be on like 75 or something, with the register u can make it down to 1. same thing with repeat rate

Once again, these registry edits only affect when a letter will repeat and how fast it will repeat, so im baffled how people are saying it solved their problem typing regular text. but i mean if u type aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa and bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb and ccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccc all the time then yeh i can see how that would improve. but typing regular words (with letters that dont repeat) i cant figure out how u see improvement.

when i type on my pro the letters always have to catch up, when i connect it to my computer(and use the keyboard to type messages) super lag is experienced, if i type a paragraph, its like 20 seconds behind before the characters appear. this is the fix im looking for

Made the changes to 50 and 2 and it has improved performance, but it is still a little laggy. It definitely isn't as fast as ye 'ol Mogul.

try a different SMS program. it seems outlook is a bit slow catching up with the keyboard.

The only complaint i have now is that when in the file explorer, moving around isn't as quick as the to repeat rate is slower.

The trick to get words NOT to lag while txting is to type in the first character, wait for the txt window to update so it says 1/160 at the top and THEN type the rest full speed. There should be little no no lag (with the tweeks).

either way i think this hack is chasing unicorns. I dont think it even affects the hardware keyboard i think its the onscreen repeat rates since it exists on non-hardware keybaord phones too

How true that is! But I'm sure it'll get better (or at least we'll get use to it)!
