I just checked and the rocker is in the proper way... I'm surprised that the piece has such a high failure rate! Well at least it doesn't cause any long term issues, except not being able to turn on your phone with a stylus removal...

Wait... which way are you saying is the proper way?

What are the #@%$ing odds that I would get two "fAIL!" units in a row? Damnit. ](*,)

When the stylus is out, the rocker sticks out into the canal, so when I slide the stylus in it pushes in to the phone.

I'm going to take pictures as soon as my camera battery charges. This thread is useless without pictures.

From what I can see mine is alright. It looks more like _|\ <--- stylus. So when you push it in, it goes from _|\ to ___. if you're holding your phone with the stylus hole pointing up at your with your phone horizontal you should see it easily. Thats the best way I can describe it

Sorry about the phone, how did you break it?

Stylus?? What stylus? You mean the TP has a stylus?

Seriously, not to make light of the OP's problem (sorry), but with all the new finger-friendly Apps nowadays, I've been enjoying long stretches of stylus-free operation with my TP..

Re: HTC Touch Pro - broken after 5 days.

Well not to dredge this thread back up again... but my switch broke somehere around Christmas. Although it does not effect the use of the phone (only the function of the switch) I was not too worried about it at the time since most PDA phones do not have this switch to begin with.

With that said, I was in the Sprint store yesterday becasue my wife's non-PDA phone had an issuse. I had them look at mine while I was there. I am not sure if Sprint is aware if the issue fully or not on this one, BUT the Manager of the store I was in said that he has a only a handful of them come in with this issue. He told me that he was instructed to replace the phone with a new one requardless if it was in the 30 day period or not. Not sure if he was feeding me a line of bull or just being nice, BUT I did get a new phone because of it. I do have TEP was well, so I might of got a new one becasue of that.

Maybe there is a design or manufacturing flaw but when I asked if I coule get a replacement, I was fully expecting a refirb out of it, not a brand new phone.
