Remap right softkey

Okay guys. I was wondering if someone could tell me how you go about remapping the right soft key. I did a search and found nothing on the subject. I am running one of JD's older roms with "VoiceCmd" (voice command) as the right soft key. I am thinking of changing to a more recent rom but I do not want to lose the easy access to this function via the softkey. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.
