You need to run it from your PC while your TP is connected.Follow the prompt on your ppc...

Yeah that file's meant to run on the phone, and I don't know that they have a GUI for Windows XP/Vista at all

If its for filing try Windows Mobile SMS Sync by Brian Hamachek. Has a nice viewer so you can read them on your pc and you can sort by name, number, date.

Also trying to download pim back up but everywhere i go I get an PPCPimBackup.exe that says its not a valid win32 application

just installed a program called jeyo mobile extender. It integrates with outlook to create a sms folder from your phone. Great tool for anyone wanting to save sms and have it built right into outlook, just wish it would save them as a threaded message.

just an FYI to what my final solution was. I got JeyoMobileExtender and what it does is work with Outlook to create a new folder and automatically do a sync to it every time you do activesync. This program is pretty slick as it integrates 100% with Outlook.

I have tried the above solution as well as efficasoft mobile express, both work but I want to be able to view SMS threaded just like the appear on my phone.
