Re: Garmin Mobile XT in landscape
Try using an app called Gyrator 2 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=427805).

In my old Titan, I used to manually put the phone in landscape mode before opening XT & that worked fine. ~John |

Re: Garmin Mobile XT in landscape
What I do is just do it manually I got this registry hack from xda
Enable Manual Screen Rotation (Portrait/Landscape): HKLM - System - GDI - Rotation - HideOrientationUI (change from 1 to 0) Change is immeditate effectively. No Reboot is required. The you can assign a button to do the manual rotation by going into Settings - Buttons - Program Buttons and then Select a Button then scoll under the Assign a Program until you find Rotate Screen. Thats a option. |

Re: Garmin Mobile XT in landscape
I found an easy way to rotate the screen from the Diamond forum. See http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...=rotate+screen posted by TMZ where a zip file (called RotateScreen.zip) contains an executable file called RotateScreen.exe. As suggested in the post, I put this file in \Windows\Start Menu. RotateScreen will now be a selectable item in Settings-Menus. I added it there and now when I click Start, I can always select RotateScreen. After I start Garmin MobileXT, I just click on Start, then RotateScreen and it's in landscape mode.
Note that RotateScreen will work with other programs, but I was happy to find this for use with Garmin MobileXT. |

Re: Garmin Mobile XT in landscape
I'd think Gyrator2 would also work to do this.
Garmin seems to be an app that would lend itself more to portrait though. What's the advantage you see in running it landscape? |
