Re: Customize Screen Tap Sound
I posted this a while ago in the Titan thread, but it still applies:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Snd\Event] ***You'll have to edit the registry using something other than PHMRegedit -- I've found that you'll have to manually type in all the strings using PHM and can't copy/paste (Resco works, not sure about TC).
Personally, I've always liked the 6700 pops/clicks/sounds, so I've ported them over to my 6800 and now TP. They're attached as well. Enjoy. |

Sound A = no likey Sound B = yes likey Rename Sound B to Sound A Or, rename "MenuPop" (or whatever the sound name is) in the multi-string registry value to "Empty" (no quotes). If you open the Curr0.txt file, it lists all of the sound file names. Find them in your Windows directory and play them to find the one you want to change. |

Re: Customize Screen Tap Sound
I think you may not understand what I'm trying to do. I want to my pro to make a sound (a wav file that I have saved in the Windows folder as hwandsw) every time I touch the screen the same way it does when "Screen Taps" is enabled in the Sounds & Notifications options. Is that possible. Thanks for your help

MenuPop is the sound when you touch your screen. hwandsw is the sound when you choose to open/activate a file. Try renaming your .wav file to MenuPop and see if that works. Sorry if I'm still not understanding.....I'm sure we'll get to the bottom of it one way or another. |
