Has anyone tried anything from Gomadic?
This one in particular:

I agree 100%. My TouchPro Proclip charges the battery & also automatically connects the audio/video to my 7" NAV screen (works awesome for SlingPlayer Mobile)

I am kind of wondering about the FM transmitter. I'm inclined to go with a tape one because I have heard so many bad things about FM transmitters and the one I had about 5 years ago really sucked.

This one also looks intersting and is cheap, but seems like it might mess up the phone clipping it in and out:

I might just go cheap and universal, something like this (and I think someone recommedned this one earlier in the thread):

Any ideas?
Be advised that the first and second linka are for the european touch pro. There most likely will be fitting issues.

Thanks for the tip. I've e-mailed the seller on the first to see what they say.

Re: Looking for a car mount.

i use a scoshe from wally world(wal-mart).$19.99 for two models; a window mounted one(shakes and vibrates) or the cup holder one(just put a little extra padding like a napkin or rag to stabilize the shaking but i like it.

That's true. I emailed them the other day asking about sprint TP accessories. This was their response:

We currently have two different mounts for the HTC Touch Pro (CDMA). They are listed and linked below:

848869 - Holder with Tilt Swivel
848369 - Standard Holder

We will be releasing more options for this phone in the next 1-2 weeks.

Best Regards,

ProClip USA Customer Service

EDIT: That email was dated 12/30

Re: Looking for a car mount.

I ordered this Proclip back when the TP first came out not even realizing the GSM models where different at the time. I'm not sure what they would change for the CDMA model as the one I have works perfectly for my Sprint TP (I have used it twice a day for almost two months now)

It worked fine the way it came, but I eventually took the usb connector off it & changed it to the video out cable so it would connect the video to my 7" NAV screen. When I added a black rubber Seidio hard case, I spread the bracket slightly so the TP would slide in without removing the case everytime.

I use this setup everytime I drive my truck (a Ford Escape Hybrid with an Eclipse 5520 NAV/DVD unit). When I stick the TP in the clip, it instantly hooks the video to my NAV screen & the audio into my killer sound system. I can watch live TV from my Slingbox Pro (using the big screen & awesome sound) or use Google maps/GarminXT/all internet functions (OperaMini) etc etc all using the Ecllipse screen & sound.

To me, this is one of the best features of the TP. I had the same setup with my old Titan's except all I could use was the truck sound system at that time as the Titan did not provide the awesome video out capability of the TP.

Re: Looking for a car mount.

thet's the real stinker with proclip, they are pricey, but basically they are about the best out there. otherwise you buy something that's almost as good, but leaves you thinking there's something better.

The worst part is the shipping charges. I just got a new car, so i got a new mount, and that was another $40 for a little piece of plastic. But once it's in there it's a done deal.

I also ordered the holder before they came out with the CDMA version. i filed a bit off the inner edges as the angle seemed a little too snug.

But, yeah, if a sturdy device holder that integrates well without tearing up your dash, proclip is about the only game in town.

Personally, i just don't trust suction cups.

Re: Looking for a car mount.

for those of us who live in hot places like Texas the mounts with suction cups will always eventually get hot and fall down.
