Can anyone tell me why my internet sharing isn't working on my $600 touch pro!???

You could also try using Wmwifirouter to rule out/confirm that it's your internet sharing program that's causing the issue,
since it also has a tethering option.

Now I've noticed, after several hard resets, that when I connect my phone via usb, it freezes up my network connections folder. I can't access it when it is connected and my screen says that it's still connected when I disconnect it. Can it be something wrong with the phone from the git go and I need to take it to sprint and see what they can do, or has someone else had this problem as well?

question....if you do edit the registry, if you take the phone back to sprint, do you have to set the registry back the way it was?
and if you do have to do that, does it erase all the memory on the phone?

sounds like a hard reset to me....but i would remember which registry key i edited, and what i edited it to. that way after the hard reset, u cud confirm, if it did what it was supposed to do

No, you don't have to re-set the registry. They won't bother looking there.

You can simply reverse the changes to the registry. Take note of what you change, and save it in a text file (or go oldschool and write it down). If you need to reverse the changes, just go and change the dword values back to what they were before if you are that worried.

I sucked down ~500mb in 4-6 hours tethered the other night streaming Pandora on my PC for a few hours and looking at two videos, was expecting that to be a lot less than that, but whoops. If they don't catch me on that, I think I'll be fine. My usage for the month is still only ~900 MB... I've done higher without tethering it at all.

Edit: You should hard reset the phone before sending it into Sprint anyway... which will bring the registry back to 100% defaults again.
