Here's another idea: How come ppcgeeks doesn't have a user editable cab repository? Something like a wiki that everyone can modify/edit so we can stay up to date with all the cabs we slap on our ppc's?

The reason i say this is because we have lists with cabs and names, but no clear definition of what they do. Different versions of the same things with no way of finding their source.

Couldn't we make this this happen? (I know we can but let's have the excuses :P)

Additional ideas:

- Make it like wikipedia where anyone can edit the page.
- Link to dev's web sites when possible, only reflect most current version
- explanation of what cabs do
- home for cabs without a home (like flashlight.exe that has no other designation) with explanation about what they do
- of course dev's wishes are respected, so those that request no dl of their cabs unless it's from their own website, cabs are explained, but directed to their url for dl

Ok so i've gone ahead and started the ball rolling. Looks like this will work until I can get it up on my server, but it doesn't seem so bad.

more on your original requests for software for various functions...

there is an app called GScroll by mobileSRC that allows you to map various functions to the touch sensitive area a la LG Chocolate, and some other interesting things you probably wouldnt think of right away. it makes great use of that capacitive panel.

Thanks again abrasive! I installed it and it is pretty cool. but i don't see that i can map the keys to the on-screen softkeys.

no problem...

based on what i know about the program, you can map various windows commands with a "::" prefix...
eg. "::close" in the blank to map closing the current program. im sure that there are more, maybe even ones specific to softkeys. im not knowledgeable enough on these commands to say.
