Why do we have to go through all this to install a ROM
the steps
to edit one, tap n hold, select edit. Just to be safe, write down the old one!
- ACTIVE PROFILE - which is probably 0 but should be set to 1(i had to do this)
- USERNAME - which should be ur sprint email address xxxxx@sprintpcs.com.
- HA SHARED SECRET(Hex) -
- AAA SHARED SECRET(Hex)
and getting msl code.

I take it we just simply cant drop the rom file on a sd card and install and be done with it lik any other.

This is not working for me. I have been thru Sprint support for hours.

I have tried the ##3282# stuff, but still an error 1012. The app to get the MSID failed, but I did remember a number for the "unlock code" and am able to get into the settings, so I guess thats the MSID.

I have tried updating the profile and manually doing the restore 100x it seems, but nothing gets past error 1012. I have also done these miles apart, up to 75 miles away.

Any ideas? I have the TP2 with Sprint WM 6.5 ROM.
