Might want to check the xda-developers website too - I saw that there is a guy there that accidently put the ATT ROM on his CDMA unit - would be interesting to know if he can use his FM radio.

Now today I've reflashed my phone to stock and put the stock radio on it (still trying to get the freakn internet to work) so I haven't messed with the FM part again yet.

Good.. As long as you keep us updated we still have faith in this.. So you will be able to dump the registry later?

Just an observation... how hard is it to 'mess with the fm part?'... I didn't realize plugging in a headset was that big of a deal. One of two things is happening here, this guy is absolutely full of it, OR he is telling the truth but milking every little bit of attention he can get for it...

Let me know if I'm out of line here, but for someone who supposedly wants to help... he doesn't seem to helpful.
Oh and for what its worth you guys are all INSANELY AWESOME for working so hard at this!!! (I'm giving you all Thanksssss for trying!)

Kinda a bit out of line.. Read this for why I think that :) He is at work though so I can't blame him for not helping right now.. I hope he is correct in what he is saying...

Just thought I'd add my 2 cents...

I've got an Alltel TP. All I've tried so far is installing the .CAB file posted earlier in the thread. It prompts me to connect the headphone which I do, then the program seems to hang on the FM radio interface screen (can't do anything and have to end the program via task manager).

After that, I try running it again and get an exception error. Doing a soft reset allows me to get back to the FM radio screen again but then it still isn't working...

Plus, give the original OP a break. I have no clue why anyone would post BS (what's the purpose?) The big question would be whether he actually was ever able to get radio stations tuned in and able to listen to them ?? Or is he just getting the same results we are ?

OP - were you able to actually tune in AND hear a station ?

No.. What you described above Swallman is exactly what we all experienced when we installed the .CAB.. As he has kinda indicated, it seems that yes, he was able to fully listen to FM radio on his Touch Pro.. I can't vouch for him, but I hope things work out..

I don't think its like you described...I just think the guy is more interested in making his phone actually function first, then playing around with GSM roms and registry dumps for us. At least I would be. And I would be pretty pissed if everyone on here was accusing me of lying or attention grabbing. Some people have busy lives and that takes precedence.

However, I do share your impatience...I am an impatient bastard and cannot wait to have this FM radio LOL

hahaha. well that is my case. I really need the freakn internet working on the damn thing and THEN I will go back and address the FM issue (net means more to me than FM).

Once AGAIN I'm going BACK to the MobiPCS store tonight and see if I can get a 2nd phone. Like I said I'm willing to up off $300 for the 2nd one if I can keep the first one.

I also have the phone number of the guy at MobiPCS that orignally setup the phone - and HE is the one that somehow got the FM working. (and from what I understand not just on my phone either but on at least one more of them too...) The # I have for him is the store he works at - PM me and I'll give ya the number - perhaps one of you guys here can get more info out of him that I was able to. He seems like a pretty nice guy - and as I said he told me that he's a member here...sure wish he'd jump in..hahaha

If he already flashed back to stock rom and radio (trying to get the internet to work) then he could just check if the fm still works. If it does, we can eliminate rom/radio from the equation.
