I'm having the same issue too, I can't go a whole day without the battery dying. Had the phone since early november. Had to get the first one replaced since the stylus sensor broke. exchange sync is only is set to manually. |

Re: Battery Life....
Make sure you let the device auto adjust the brightness. When you're somewhere like school or work or the movies and you have no service or need no service, set the phone to airplane mode. I don't think programs running in the background take up too much battery, but it's still a good idea to close anything you're not using.
Also, people have said the "slow trickle" charge via usb on your computer seems to keep the battery charged longer. Try hooking it up to your computer overnight (your computer might not need to be turned on to charge the phone, I know mine doesn't.)

Re: Battery Life....
I have an Alltel phone...I've never had a battery issue.
I used my phone heavily yesterday and last night before I went to sleep I noticed the battery was at 49%. Today, I've used it a few times..sent some text messages and a few emails...I am at 91% battery after 5 hours off the charger. I've never had a battery problem at all(I used all the battery tweaks in that essentials thread and just now turned off the "Beam" check box..as in just a few minutes ago) |

Re: Battery Life....
Is there actually an IR beam port on this phone? I know the setting is there ,but if there isn't any port, then turning it off or on shouldn't matter since there is no IR port to draw current from the battery. Or am I mistaken and there is a port I haven't found?
