Can't figure this out - center button & LEDs

i'm wondering if anyone else has this problem.i use the wmp at work and it plays/pauses every so often and i reset the center button and it still will play/pause/play.what gives?

So, what are some functional use examples in an application of using the larger center button with a light touch and not pressing it?

None as of yet, but I would much rather use my DPad capacitively

Check out GScroll from mobileSRC. It's a retail program (still kind of a beta actually) but adds scroll features to the capacitive area, and also adds additional "keys" to start apps.

Still kinda finnicky, but could turn out to be kinda cool.

For one thing, the camera app uses that to focus.

Been playing with it for a few days now. The scrolling works really well. Much better for me than trying to "flick" through menus on the touch screen.
Program activation just works ok (they say double tap, but I some times need to triple tap, or "wake" the area by touching the center circle).

The only "bugs" so far, GScroll breaks the "wheel" feature around the d-pad (can't use it to zoom in pictures or opera), and it breaks the "touch and press" function on the camera. You can't touch to auto-focus, you can only press to focus and take the picture.

Hopefully it will lead to greater customization. I would love to see the "wheel" used as an actual scroll wheel, like on the Mogul.

Have you tried the hologram app? It is pretty cool, if you touch the center button and don't press it works way more smoothly.
