Ok I feel like an idiot...(Batter cover)

How do you get the damn battery cover off sprints touch pro? Lmao. I've never felt so dumb in my life. I even read the instructions, it says to slide upwards, but it's not budging. Once I get the battery in the thing, I can begin the task of switching to VZW's network...So any help would be great. Thanks in advance. (Yes I tried searching, all I see are threads for replacement covers.)
