Total Equipment Protection

This is just a quick headcount to see how many people have TEP or are considering getting TEP in the near future. Is it worth the $7.00 extra in your bill?

Re: Total Equipment Protection

YES....

No way I would go without it. Phone just cost way too much. I know people have reported problems with claims recently, but I wouldn't chance it.

Re: Total Equipment Protection

I've had it since I've signed up with sprint... 2004 to be exact..

so... 4 years.. 48 months

7.00 a month...

48 Months x $7.00 = $336.00 Dollars total

I got over 4 moguls due to problems, one new 8703 when the screen stopped working, 2 or 3 treo 650's and at least 2 6700's and one 700p and one treo 755. I also got to trade up to the mogul from the 6700 for free due to problems..

add the retail price of all those phones and what I would have paid if i didn't have insurance on them???

Thats well over $2500 dollars saved because insurance covered the issues....

I personally think its worth it..

Re: Total Equipment Protection

With a phone that has moving parts that costs this much to replace, I would definetly have insurance.

Same here

Def worth the plan. One slip without this plan....and you will need to reach well deep in your pocket :)

Re: Total Equipment Protection

so if you didn't have the TEP, and say something went wrong with the phone like the keypad stopped working, would sprint switch out the phone and provide a refurbished one or would you have to go to HTC and get them to repair it if the phone is still under the first year warranty.

I've had verizon in the past and if you were still under the one year you can go there and they will swap the phone for you.

just curious

Re: Total Equipment Protection

Definitely get TEP! as i700 said above, the cost of $84 a year is nothing if you have to replace ANY phone one time... The past year alone I went through a Treo 650, 2 Samsung a900's, 1 Touch, 4 PPC6700's, and 2 Moguls. All have bee replaced or upgraded with no hassle or problem. Get TEP while you stil can. I think you can only get it for the first 30 days after activating your phoe.

Yes I do its cheap compared to replacing the phone possibly many times.

Re: Total Equipment Protection

I have it; I had it with a cheaper phone, so I figured I have to have it now, too. :)

Re: Total Equipment Protection

I bought mine through a 3rd party, so Sprint won't allow me to have it. :protest:(crosses fingers)

They also won't let you add it to a phone after 30 days, so those who are thinking about it, you better hurry.
