Minimized Clock Maximizes At Midnight

I prefer the minimized clock & been looking for a way to have it stay that way since I don't have a need to see the alarm setting & date all the time. I know what day it is & well if I set the alarm it should be on no need to have a notice with a big fat clock on the screen. Anyway, I've noticed that at midnight the clock will maximize again so everyday I have to minimize it. I know it's not a big detail but I'd like to keep it on the setting I use instead of having the change it everyday or when to soft reset or power on the phone.
