Texting Issues When I Slide The Keyboard

When I go to click reply on a text message and quickly open my phone to type it kicks me back to a previous screen and I have to close out apps or click on the task manager to get back to my text message. I was wondering if anyone has a solution or is having this problem?

I think it's a common problem. What I usually do is hit reply in portrait mode and wait until I see the blinking insert cursor in the message screen before flipping to landscape and opening the keyboard.

It's a pretty common software bug, I believe... By any chance... Have you installed any programs, .CAB's, or made any registry edits before the problem started occuring?

I get the same thing. Very annoying.

To fix this, go to windows directory, delete htcvolumecontrol.dll, restart... your system will restore the file from rom on restart

I didnt want to get rid of my custom speaker icon, but i did this and it worked.

I don't think he's talking about the speaker icon landscape issue. This is unrelated to that. This is an issue with the stock rom that pulls up the contact search if you try to reply to SMS in landscape too quick.

Should be the same fix regardless. I was having this proble, deleted the .dll file, and now i dont have the problem

Just rename the file instead of deleting it, restart, and if the problem isnt solved, just delete the new one and change the name of the back up back. Simple.

Once again, i no longer have any issues of the dialer or other apps popping up when i dont want em to... but who knows, if it comes back i'll feel silly

Going to have to try this when I get home.
