if its not frozen it blurry!!!

I have tried to take some pics of my 7 month old son and every one is blurry. I tried every setting. I have it set to press the dpad to focus until it locks in green the press again to take the pic. All of them are blurry. This camera only work if you take a picture of a rock & the video is worst. Is there a fix??
