Looking for profile switcher that is not a Today Plugin

I have tried all of the solutions out there to run TF3D and Phone Alarm at the same time and they each have their own issues.

SecondToday is buggy as hell and PA's integration does not automatically load TF3D at startup (small issue but it bugs me). I have been using a custom mortscript to simply run the manila.exe file on startup. It works great but TF3D will occasionally just unload itself automatically.

All I really need PA for is the automatic volume control switching. Anyone know of a utility that will do this that doesn't need to be loaded as a Today Plugin?

spb phone suite HAS a today plug-in, but you don't have to use it for it to work

See my earlier post a few up. Can you elaborate on how you got that to work? Did you find a shortcut to the profiles popup?

Thanks for the info, however, my test show this to not be entirely true. Although certain features of Phone Suite work all the time, the automatic profile switching will not work if the Today Plugin is not loaded.

I will check out Phoneweaver.

Agree, I came to that same conclusion. Let us know if you find a way to use the Phoneweaver profiles without having to use the Today plugin.

Your right. I had the same problem with Phone Suite. The plugin has to be active. And you can not have it active at the same time on the today screen unless you use mToday (Second today). But it is buggy. And if you have customized TF3D in anyway, when you witch back to the TF3D screen, you may have to do a soft reset. I know I have too all the time now.

Ah, ok. I was under the impression that both of those were only active when they were loaded as a Today Plugin. I will start playing with them. Free or not doesn't matter. I am happy to support good software.

Phoneweaver doesn't require a today plugin. It's a TSR type app and works very well. Just be sure to setup and test your profiles well and remember if you soft reset, the profile will "re enable" back to what it's set to.

I have to remember to "re-turn on my WiFi" since none of my preferred ones enable it when I want to use it.

I used PhoneWeaver on my Touch. I just hit the camera button to bring up the on-screen menu. Worked great.

Now I don't have an easy button for that, but I'm looking into making the long-press power button open it up.
