I am curious, how F'd up is your phone now? Can you go back to a stock set up or is your stock memory slot no longer usable the same way? I mean it's obvious you could just slap a new battery cover to make it look normal but...how did you mod the original memory slot?

It's probably just reverse of a microsd to SD converter. I suspect he got a SD slot and wired the contacts to a dummy microsd card. He could have wired them straight onto the TP's contacts, but I would hope not to preserve the microsd functionality.

ya idk its a cool tinkering mod but i wouldnt trash a $600 phone to tinker either. Especially when the size card is coming out so soon that fits the card slot. I guess i missing something in the explanation of why with only 3gb or so filled by the screenshot.

I have an idea it's the sd to microsd converter but I could not find a sample last night. Well, let's see the numbers. $97.50 for the adapter $119 for the 32 giger comes up to $216.50 + a hole on the back of the phone plus the card is getting on the way in and out of the pocket.. Hmmmm. I'm sorry but I think it's not the brightest idea. 32gig micro sd is coming out. waiting for it with 16giger, i think would not hurt. Oh boy. If U guys think that you can put 64gig SD card when it's available, Nah ah. OS's only see's a certain capacity on storage. On WM, I think it can only go as high as 32gigs, So no dice in there.

u can get a 8gb for around $20 (4 of them=32gb for $80)i cant see dropping over $200 and destroying a $579 phone, just sounds insane to me.

Haha again, I think its cool. I went to Sprint looking for a replacement battery, they only have extended batteries that come with extended doors. I didn't ask them if they could be sold separately as this was about 2 weeks ago and I didn't think I would be needing it haha. I would go to a Sprint store and see though.

It really isnt trashed..... All he has to do is buy a new back piece. Thats really the only mod done to the phone. The rest is simply a push in adapter that can easily be taken out and a MicroSD put back in.

I actually have had a project in progress for something similar to this that will fit under the stock battery cover, and this has reminded me to finish up my prototype. Hopefully tonight I'll have it done, albeit not totally ready, but to the point where I could hook up a cheapy 16 gig or pricier 32 gig card.
