To TF3D or Not to TF3D

Who has disabled TF3D on their SPRINT Pro? I have left mines on because I think its a great selling point for the Pro.

I'm all about UIs. I keep the TF3D on because it's much better looking and more streamlined than the more clunky WM UI.

Re: To TF3D or Not to TF3D

I have it enabled. Right now my only complaint is with the calendar on the home screen. I wish you could make it display X number of upcoming appointments.

You sell them? Might make some enemies too, if it's to friends

I think he's probably referring to SecondToday. Here's a link to the developer's site.

Re: To TF3D or Not to TF3D

I used it for about 3 days and switched back to Pocketplus and some other spb today screen programs I use (phone suite, diary, weather). I may try to keep tweaking tf3d, but so far can't seem to get the flexibility I want from it.

no complaints other then most of themes are only for the touch diamond instead of the pro

Re: To TF3D or Not to TF3D

SecondToday is a must have!! I can switch back and forth between my Windows home screen with SPB Pocket+ and TF3D as much as I want. The only problem that I have had is that once in a while when I'm switched over to my Windows home screen out of the blue it will switch back to TF3D.

Re: To TF3D or Not to TF3D

I haven't disabled tf3d even once... and i use secondtoday for my plugins like today agenda... also have mobile shell mapped to soft keys in both UIs. I heard there's a new app out on xda that allows you to switch back and forth between tf3d and the REAL today screen... might have to look into it.

I like the TF3D interface. For now it stays.

Re: To TF3D or Not to TF3D

Coming from a completely tricked out Mogul, it took me a while to like tf. I gave myself some time and now that the weather works for my city and in conjunction with Second today for my plugins, I absolutely love tf!

If I could only find the perfect soft keyboard for my big thumbs for some quick reply sms.... I like the one it came with, if it just would highlight the activated buttons OVER my thumb instead of under it, where I can't see what I'm pushing.

Re: To TF3D or Not to TF3D

Because of this great app (MD3Control) I now use both. Combined with ftouchflo, one finger swipe switches back and forth amazingly fast. Much better than second today:

Use the manilla control and you can dump second today now. You need to check it out, esp if you like second today.

I use TF3D w/2nd Today & Spb Mobile shell map to the right softkey while only using 46% of memory

Got mine on! Loving it to much to disable it. And make using the phone easier IMO

Re: To TF3D or Not to TF3D

Interresting, looks like more like it than hate it. A few stated that they love it and some loved it after giving it a chance. I was wondering since tf3d is what makes the Pro and Diamond unique. I cant stand the standart winmo UI and refuse to use it. I am surprised Point UI was not mentioned ince that was kik butt o n the Touch and mogul for a few of us. I really feel like TF3D is very pretty and does a great job in jumping from weather, app's and such.

Just my opinion:
TF3D looks slick but it's not as functional as some other Today screen launchers, etc.

I tried TF3D for about 3 weeks but then turned it off.
Personally I use Ultimate Launcher. A bit of a pain to configure but once you get it set up, it's very nice. Not as slick looking but more functional.

Wow, I am the opposite. I think TF3D makes it easier to use the phone.

It's nub software that has been replaced with Mobile Shell, less restrictions and faster.

Touch Flo is the main selling item for the Touch Pro.. Besides the VGA screen and extra memory.. Oh.. And the quicker processor.. And the great keyboard.. lol

2nd Today works super for me. I have the right soft button mapped to have 2nd TD bring up Mobile Shell with one click. X'ing off MS brings me back to TF3D & it hardly uses any memory to do it. I love UltimateLaunch also, so I may add that to the mix at some point also.

I don't see anything not to like with my setup..........

That app looks cool, but I'm curious why you think it is "Much Better" than 2nd today?? It seems to me the two apps do exactly the same thing just in slightly different ways???

With 2nd today mapped to my right soft button, I can switch from TF3D to whatever I want (right now, I have it set to Mobile Shell) with one click.

To take a picture of your couch maybe, it's damn near impossible to take a clear picture of a person however (unless they can stay totally motionless for about 30 seconds with the ridiculous shutter lag of this thing)

My wife has a two year old Samsung flip phone that takes better pics than this piece of crap...... Don't get me wrong, I'm reasonably happy with the TP but I'm sure glad the camera isn't important to me.

I have it but I kinda miss wktask from my mogul. It has issues with tf3d IMO. Honestly, I got used to tf3d and is is also a good show-off to friends and family feature.

I had it off until I installed Juggalo's ROM. It was too laggy before. With J's ROM, its speedy and convenient.
