All ## codes for Sprint Touch Pro and MSL info
I found what I believe to be every code available on the Touch Pro as there were no others listed in the folder that handles these codes! If you'd like to snoop the folder yourself go to HKLM\Services\PhoneExt\KeyProgram
It's amazing what you can find when you're bored! I applied my own labels to each one for my own reference so they may not be completely accurate. ##778# - EPST - Advanced Programming - This can also be accessed from the windows folder as EPST.exe ##786# - EPST - Reverse Logistic ##4772579# - RESETs ##37872# - Full Speed USB Mode - Enable/Disable ##8626337# - EPST/Vocoder - ##2539# - EPST/A-Key - Authentication Key ##7738# - EPST/P_Rev - Protocol Revision ##3282# - EPST - Basic Programming ##775# - EPST/PRL - PRL Settings ##3386# - DDTM - Enable/Disable ##33284# - Debug - FieldTrial Debug Info - This can also be accessed from the windows folder as FieldTrial.exe ##3424# - DMR - PORT INFO - This can also be accessed from the windows folder as DMRouter.exe ##MSL# - MSL is your MSL code which you type in place of the letters MSL. To get your MSL code you can call your service provider and ask them to run you through the steps to program your phone. During this process they should have you type in ##yourMSL#. This should be a 6 digit number. They normally do this with a customer when they have issues with internet/voicemail/text messaging problems or when you call to activate a new phone on your account. Alltel uses ##000000#. If you don't prefer to talk to your Service Provider you can also aquire your MSL code manually. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=42871 I'm pretty sure these will work just as well for the Diamond. Verizons version may just be a slight variation...possibly just the send button at the end of the code instead of the #. Can anyone confirm? Have fun and be safe! Always Back Up!:evil4::headbang: |

yes, often times new dialers will kill the ## codes. If you use stock it should be fine.

Works for Bell Mobility's CDMA HTC Touch
Just to let you guys know, I tested the following codes on a Bell Mobility HTC Touch and they work :)
Just in case some of you lurkers are looking for what they can be used for, here you go: ##778# (EPST - you need to input your 6 digit MSL (get it using GetSPC.exe or BAFMSL.cab, as explained previously)) can be used to change the Slot Cycle Index, the frequency at which the phone sends out its info to the cell tower, which can be reduced for faster response upon ringing by the other party. Be aware that making the phone poll the tower frequently tends to deplete the battery dramatically, especially if you are far from the tower, which forces te phone to function at full power. You need to select "Modem Settings", the SCI is in there, most folks set it to 1 or 0 from the default 2. ##3424# is required prior to connect the phone to a USB port to work with QPST (which allows you to program the phone from the desktop and replace the OEM MSL code, among other things). You do need to have a proper driver package loaded on your computer. I needed the WModem Driver Installer, found somewhere else on this great site :) ##33283# is the Field Service Code, which is mainly used to asess Signal Strength in DBM, much more precise than any bar representations, great if you want to record how the radio version you have loaded performs compared to the one in the ROM you are about to load. If some of these don't work, it's possible that the app the code starts is not actually loaded on your device. Big Thanks to stevopativo for finding and collating the codes :) |

Re: All ## codes for Sprint Touch Pro
I have a Mogul and the ##3282# code don't work after flashing a custom Rom. I've tried several dialers but none of them allow me to enter EDIT screen. Anyone know how to fix this?
|
Re: All ## codes for Sprint Touch Pro
most ## code problems with custom dialers are due to the dialer changing the dial parser values, hklm/security/phone/skin, usually phonecanvas.dll works, unless you custom replaces it, some customs change that value to phcanrc or something else for whatever reason. also, just for fun, you can edit the ## codes in the registry, and use it as a custom app launcher.

Re: All ## codes for Sprint Touch Pro
What does most of these code do exactly. I'm an amateur when it comes to windows mobile not noob, I know my way around windows mobile, my mother has a T-Mobile Dash, I have a Touch Diamond and Touch Pro, so try to say anything about my not understanding windows mobile, I just need a explanation of these codes.

Full Speed USB is the slow compatible mode method. You want to leave it at default Hi-Speed. from everythingusb dot com: "USB 1.1 allowed a maximum transfer rate of 12Mbits/second. It is now obsolete, but both of its speeds (1.5Mbps & 12Mbps) are being adopted into USB 2.0, and they are now called Original USB officially. Though some manufacturers label their products Full-Speed USB. Note that this seems a bit deceptive as it's easy to mistake Full-Speed for Hi-Speed. You won't be fooled from now on as you now aware that Full Speed USB is only 12Mbits/second where Hi-Speed USB mode is capable of a much faster 480Mbits/second." |

Re: All ## codes for Sprint Touch Pro
Good question, Deimoss, I'd like to know also!
TouchPro09, the text message sent notification can be turned off, it's easy to do, it's in the settings, just explore your phone more, you'll learn a lot, it's well worth the effort :) |
