It doesnt really matter if you covers pink black, or gray its still originally for the touch pro, only time you might have problems is when you want to return your phone within the 30 day period.

There is an indicator for water damage. It is the red/white strip looking thingie under the battery cover.

I did mine tonight-was going for dark green and must have left it in too long cause it came out black. Looks really good-just wish I got the green.

Wont be an issue if you need to take it in for service or a swap, theyll just put on the silver cover off the new phone and let you keep the black. All you have to say is you bought an aftermarket one, and theyll let you keep it more than likely.

yup just did mine dark green 2... turned black, only "cooked" mine for 5 mins. oh well black is cool
