I tend to have the same issue (always after hours between 6pm-11:30pm). it starts syncing and it stays stuck on syncing contacts..until a "waiting for network" error shows up in activeSync. I do not have any issues from 9:am-5pm for some reason...so try it around that time...i think it is Mail2web that is causing the issue...btw i'm using Sprint stock ROM on the Touch Pro..
