Can you set EVDO vs. 1x?

I use the Sprint Airave at my house. The Touch Pro is having serious battery life issues in my house because the phone is constantly connecting and disconnecting from a nearby EVDO tower, while also connected to the Airave

Anyway, is there a way to set the Touch Pro to just use the 1x data network so I can eliminate this issue when I'm at home?

I was asking if there was a setting in the phone which will turn force the phone into 1x or EVDO. I'm not going to be hacking my registry every time I come home from work.

geez, thanks guysm i really needed this hack. my house has great 1x coverage but shady EV coverage and im tired of missing calls while the phone jumps back and forth. I really needed this

I see the setting for changing data and voice but cannot find the setting to change the data only/
