I believe I already have this tweek. It puts Roam only as an option in setting, phone, services, and roaming. It forces roaming for both data and voice. I did a search and could not find any explanation for the reg edit in this cab. If you have further info please let me know.

Yup that registry edit will work perfectly for you. I have the exact same problem with my Airave. You can do the Mode Operation settings change on the fly, no need to soft reset ever agter the initial registry edit and reset.

Anyone else having problems forcing the data connection into EVDO only? If I use that option, I lose all bars but if I select the "Hybrid" option, I will get full bars (EVDO).

The data connection switches back and forth between 1x and EVDO when in Hybrid mode. I would like to lock it in to just EVDO.
