Viewing Pictures within a Folder

Ok, just got my TP today, so far love it and still getting used to it. For some reason when I'm using File Explorer to view pictures in a folder, I can't navigate through them to view them on the screen. I remember on my Mogul you could use the thumbwheel or dpad to navigate to the next or previous image. I tried finger-swiping on the TP and using the dpad, nothing. Am I doing something wrong, is this not available on the TP, or lastly is there something wrong with my phone?
