Fixing permissions does not work on jeodek so I went to xda and found this post:

If you thought Opera Mini 4.1 was fast.....

To install:
Point IE to mini.opera.com/beta

Click on 'Install a previous version' to get a signed one that doesn't prompt every time you use it.

If you're using Onyx ROM or others with embedded Opera Mini, best thing to do is empty the Windows\AppDB folder before installing, then it will install as App S0, and all shortcuts etc will still work. If you dont want to do that, or if you have other Java stuff installed, you'll need to edit any links to Opera Mini to point to the new app number.

worked for me :)

There are also isntructions for using a hex editor which i might try later.

I don't think there is a signed version of 4.2 beta yet but I will take a look.

Dude, for real, read... I posted the signed version right here...

I went back to the non-VGA version of Esmertec JBed, and I think I will stick with it for now. If you use the non-VGA version and make the font size large as possible for gmail and opera it'll be slightly hard to read (depending on your eyesight), but it works perfectly as it should (scrolling, no freezing etc), and doesn't have the issues that the VGA JBed are having.

You just unzip the file i posted, you will get a jar file, Put this jar file on your SD card, then in the java client you use go to - Menu:Install:Local Files and it will give you the option to install

Latest Opera Mini on Touch Pro

The latest Opera Mini on the Touch Pro is blazingly fast, including scrolling, and plays YouTube videos. However, I have a couple of issues:
- Is it possible to make the text darker so that it stands out more on the light background?
- Is it possible to increase the size of the Menu text beyond what is available in the Settings?
