Annoying text message notification during call

How do i turn off the annoying text message received notification beeps while in the middle of a fone call? If im getting text messages i cant hear the other person cuz of the beeps.

Are you trying to turn off the notification sound of the pop-up?
To turn off the sound, go to Settings --> Sounds and notifications. Click on the last tab (can't remember the name and I don't have the phone in front of me), and you should be able to unclick the sound notification for text messages, among other things.

I think what he means is having the sound automatically turn off during a call, because it causes the speaker to play the tone so he can't hear the person.

Wouldn't that turn off the sound entirely. Not a good solution. I know phonealarm from pocketmax has this feature, but haven't tried it because of touchflo3d.

Seems like PhoneAlarm 2.10 release support for TouchFlo. They have a feature that will disable alerts while on a call. Their solution is kind of a work around, but neat at the same time. They included a Second Today type mod and mapped it to the left soft key. Because of this, phonealarm is working, and runs in the background and allowing you to switch between TouchFlow or the regular today screen.

the suggestions above didnt work... try this and ull no wat im talking about... call some1 and while ur talking to them ..goto sprint.com and on the bottom right text urself.. and ull hear the 3 annoying beeps during ur convo wen ur fone receives it.. it sux. and it beeps like 3 times.. i tried changing the tone or beep type to something that is normal but it didnt even apply to that.. no matter wat i do its the same annoying triple beep.. it sux

I hate it too. Blah blah *beep beep beep* blah...hang on what did you say?

It can be good if you are expecting a text while on that one hour phone call.

I'd also like to know if this can be disabled only while on a call. Very annoying indeed.

My solution above works, but not a free solution. Let me know if you found an alternate solution. Probably have to find a solution to disallow data stuff while on a call.
