Pray tell, how is your phone setup?
my phone can last 2 days without any usage or txt or phone calls or inet.

I mean seriously, it can last up to 4 days in 100% standby. How do i do it? My 2nd tp is my business line, i'm still setting that business up so the phone is just idle. It has nothing but voice on it as well, txt, inet and mms is blocked on it. So i charge it twice a week!

Now, my other phone, after a 45 - 60 min convo it's hot and down to 60 80% charge. A few hours of txting later it's at 20 - 40% hahaha. By the time i get hone it's red :P

just depends what you use it for.

Re: A little tough Love about battery issues.

I think if you were to quote my post you'd not clip anything out of it

because you and I are saying pretty much the same thing (altough I've experienced two of these that would get hot enough to shut themselves off long before 45 minutes of phone talk) yet the poster I questioned seems to imply he can USE his for two days without charging for other than merely a desk ornament

hmmm I bet mine would go three days or more if I hooked it to my Benz's 1050 cca Interstate battery

Re: A little tough Love about battery issues.

speaking of benz's, they're so awesome. never had a better ride than in a benz. I don't know why people like BMW's, really. I've never been in a mega luxury car (bently or bugatti etc) but mb has thee best ride EVER!

They also have engine warmers (optional) for very cold areas! how cool is that??

Re: A little tough Love about battery issues.

I hate my battery life!! I wake up at 5:30 and take the phone off the charger when I walk out at 6:00. By 3pm, it is dead. This is with zero usage. I can soft reset on the way out, not open anything up and it will die by 3pm.

And lord forbid if I use the phone, it will die after 3 or 4 hours. I'll turn on music and let it play for an hour and the phone dies. I hate it and will try to trade it in for something that will last.

I bought the phone on my way out of town about a month ago and there is no way 3 hours of talk time or 9 hours of stand by is acceptable.

Re: A little tough Love about battery issues.

ok so on monday, 9 am i charged my touch pro 100%.

It's not thursday 11:28 AM and it's down to 60%.

I've received 11 incoming calls, but didn't answer them, all went straight to voicemail (maybe more calls but no more voicemails)

the phone has been idle with no talking done on it. txt and inet are blocked on sprints end.

See, battery in standby isn't bad. its everything else that kills it. i'm also inclined to agree that heat kills the life too.

I have a seidio case on it BTW.

Re: A little tough Love about battery issues.

ok friday 12:00 PM my battery was down to 20% with 1 call that lasted like 3 mins (but felt like forever!)

That's pretty much the tp in standby mode

my personal tp is really getting a workout now - charged at least twice a day.

sending and receiving a ton of txt msgs so that's doing it in

It's a basically stock Sprint Touch Pro with a slew of reg tweaks and apps installed, but nothing that requires unlocking or flashing. Purchased in early November.

Battery life has come down a bit on that due to age, but I can still get a day easily and probably could still push it to 2. Mind you, this is with my typical light usage pattern; if I use it a lot of course it won't last that long.

There are places I can put it where it will drain the battery dead in hours with no use, so reception is apparently a significant issue.

Re: A little tough Love about battery issues.

My phone charged ALL NIGHT. I come to work, and plug it into my work PC via the usb cable directly from the PC.

now, I am getting "Main Battery Too Low" message, and my phone is shutting itself off, as well as a screen which randomly turns off and on every minute or so. Whats the deal here? Keep in mind, my phone charged all night, just like every night beside my bed. Which I usually get a whole day worth of battery life. This is very frustrating, and making me re-think if this $400 I spent on this phone and switchd from a BlackBerry 8330 Curve, was worth it.

Re: A little tough Love about battery issues.

I am getting 12-14 hours from off-the-charger to dead with intermediate usage throughout the day and hardly any talk time. I run two POP3 accounts with 30 minute send/receive, and Exchange/push. Stock ROM but a bunch of registry tweaks, and Lumos for backlight control. Seems like my reception is kinda crappy, especially compared to my old phone with external antenna. Where that phone maxed out its bars my TP has like 1 to 3.

I just flashed the new 1.11.00F sprint radio and will report back.
