Ideal Camera Settings?

Does anyone have suggested camera settings for taking good pictures? (i.e., Contrast, Saturation, Sharpness, and Brightness)

I have played around with some of the settings, but I have not been too impressed yet... just wondering what has worked for you!

I did a little testing today and I am settling on about +3 or +4 contrast, +3 saturation and +2 sharpening. It's kind of personal taste though. Sharpening IMO is the one that most needs adjustment, as the default sharpening intoduces a lot of artifacts IMO.

Brightness is the exposure control, I haven't decided yet whether you should baseline an over or under exposure. I'm gonna try a one-tick overexpose and see whether it improves exposuring.
