I have re-posted all the cabs with the corrected Obex settings. :) Sorry about that. HTC changed the Beams setting to an HKEY_CURRENT_USER setting, but Windows Mobile still expects the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE setting for true Obex. I was changing both improperly but it's fixed now.

The Tweaks Only version does not include the AudioPara but doesn't include the start menu cleanup either. I could email you a full cleanup without it if you want. If you want just the original audiopara file for testing, check this thread...

My phone works great now, thanks! Although, I did notice a longer lag time after the phone first boots up until everything is running smooth. Either way, fantastic!

Man, this is such a great thread. Only thing is, I've installed so many cabs and programs just to get my phone where it is now, but the one that I like is your highlight color change (especially the blue you chose)...only thing is it only works with the Sprint Theme. Oh well, guess I'll stick with what I've got, but if there's a way to make that work, I'm all for it.

I wanted to install the "Tweaks" cab, but don't want that to mess with TouchFlo Configurator settings I have on now.

If I'm safe installing any of this, please let me know because this is all great stuff.

The "Sprint Manila Blue" package (not the revised one) will leave all the tabs alone and still provide the highlights and colors. :)

What exactly does your "tweaks-only" download do? what does it tweak exactly? Will I still keep my original tabs and shortcuts?

The "Tweaks Only" package ONLY makes adjustments to the Registry in an effort to automatically configure most of the things you find in Start > Settings along with the best performance and power management enhancements that have been documented on these forums.

It does NOT make any adjustments to Manila. It does NOT adjust your start menu program shortcuts, etc.

Basically, if you look at the first post, it does everything it says EXCEPT: the Manila modifications, Start Menu modifications, and AudioPara boost.

Very nice job! :) If you are feeling generous, you might consider zipping up all your manila files and posting them. I'm really digging the blue in the start menu and softkey area. I think my next tweak might be revamping my Sprint.tsk file to use the same blue I use in Manila for highlights.

How do I do that? Just go to windows folder and copy and paste?

I was able to modify the taskbar and softkey bar using UI Tweak. It's an awesome program and dark blue (midnight blue) happens to be my favorite color.

Yep, just copy all the manila files onto your computer (put them in a folder called Manila or whatever), and then right click on the folder and choose Send To > Compressed Folder.

Hi, my volume setting is small, instead having the system/ring in one side, i have to move side to side. I found the fix in this thread i think, anyone know where this fix is at?

really appreciate the work....Very helpful for someone like myself, who would have lived with the phone as is.

One issue I'm having, is the bar at the top...I get 2 or sometimes 3 battery symbols, and seem to have lost the symbol that shows open programs. This is only on the home page.

The task manager icon can be turned back on via Start > Settings > System tab > Task Manager. :)

Thanks for the custom ROM! Question, I installed the original cab(small icons) but would rather have large icons. Can I just install the other cab over top or should I perform a hard reset first? Thanks!

i read thru this whole thread...the probs that sum were having made me not wanna install this...but i figured it was just noobs makin noob mistakes haha...i was pretty much right...i installed the app (tweaks only) and i have to say it works great...slight lag but i can make sum adjustments on my end to correct this im sure...so far so good...if i run into any probs ill be sure to post...but i must say great app...thanks for this...

Where can I find the original Sprint Manilla files that the color change cab modified? I would like to go back to the yellow theme. I think I perfer the yellow circle bubble over the red and the Comm Manager is really hard to see what is on or off with out the yellow.

You're welcome!! :) If you want the larger start menu icons... download the right package and replace the one you got, but don't bother installing or hard resetting! Just go to Start > Settings > System > TouchFLO, and enable the option for Large Icons in Start Menu.

No, it doesn't. Turn ON your location setting in Start > Settings > Phone > Services > Location Setting. :) I'm not sure how/why this is off by default for some phones, but at least it's an easy enough fix.

You can find the original Sprint files in the Customize Your Manila / TouchFLO3D Theme" linked in my signature. :) I believe they're in post 3 or 4.

If you happen to find a specific tweak that addresses any lag, please let me know what that tweak is so that I can make sure my package implements it properly. I've not experienced any lag on my end, but I'm always looking for improvements! :)

Start > Settings > Connections > USB to PC > Switch it back to ActiveSync... this will fix it immediately.

I could have sworn I reposted versions that didn't modify that... I reuploaded the tweaksonly package with the correct one just in case the last upload screwed up somehow. Redownload the package for future use.

Last night I hard reset my phone for other reasons and didnt apply your cab. Today at work Im messing with my TP and im noticing lag going from menu to menu in m3d. So I reinstalled your cab and things were so much smoother, pretty much insantly(well after a restart..lol). Last time when I installed it I already did some minor stuff but this time I was able to notice the difference more because it was after a fresh reset.

I was a major rom flasher with my touch but im holding off on the TP for now so this cab is a nice alternative to make things run a little smoother without flashing.

I would have to say the work you have done is simply amazing. I currently have the Sprint Treo 755p, and I finally made the jump from Palm to Windows. I went into the sprint store to play around with the HTC Touch Pro recently and was unhappy with the lag when messing around with the meu, and the speed of the touch screen when shifting through photos or the phone book.

After doing some research and finding a world of hacks for this phone and people who take the time and actually make the product better and easier to use. It gave me hope that me ordering the phone from sprint would be a good idea.

This gentlemen felt the same way as I do, but tweaked his settings and did some things to dramatically change the speed and responsiveness of the touchflow 3d interface.

My question to you is does your tweak do the same thing? Does it stop the lag and make scrolling through touch flow much more responsive?

Another question I read alot about me having to unlock the phone and possible do a Hard-SPL to do any changes, but it seems that is only required when I completely re-flash the ROM. You however are only making simple tweaks to the curren OEM-ROM.

So I assume I don't have to do any of this... just follow your instructions and enjoy my phone. I think it would be key for you to put a very short 3-5 minute youtube video to show the world what you have done!

My last question deals with the accelarator (sp?) it allows you use the double touch zoom and features like you can on the internet or on pictures throught the entire phone. Is that a tweak you would recommend and if so how would I implemenet it?

Yes! :) Just open Internet Sharing, Click Connect, and then plug it into the computer.

Most programs install shortcuts to Start > Programs automatically... make sure you follow their install instructions when you download the programs. :) If they don't create shortcuts, you can create shortcuts on your own using this method:

Tap-and-Hold on any file you want to link to... choose "Copy" on the menu.

Go to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs and tap-and-hold and choose "Paste Shortcut".

First of all, thank you for the support and feedback! I appreciate it! No donations are necessary. This is all stuff that I did for my own benefit first and decided to share for others with similar situations. I'm just happy to help out.

HardSPL is only required for custom ROM and radio updates. You can find more about that in the Upgrades forum, as it's a bit more than I like to get into.

My package implements as many performance tweaks as I've learned about, but I don't admit to know them all (yet, haha). I haven't looked into a lot of the accelerometer hacks yet. You'll want to search the main forum for stuff like that.

AWESOME, it worked just like you said now i can take my laptop anywhere and use my phone as modem THANKS..........ALSO i only installed the tweaks only cab because after reading through all the threads i noticed that that was the most updated cab u had which was updated 11/20...now my ? is which of the cabs do u recommend would not only give me fast but stability and power for my tp.......i mean the tweaks only has made it fast but i find that i still am using alot of memory when i check the memory on the bar on top......also i had previously installed spbshell but turned it off cause i didnt like the way it was slowing the phone down but i noticed on soft reset it shows up in the beginning when its loading, do u recommand i uninstall spb shell alltogather? thanks again ahead of time for taking the time and helping a new commer like myself into the wonderful world of customizing my phone to get the best out of it,,,
