mini and gmail. I think I can get a 'signed' version of mini just by getting it from their website, but gmail still will ask for permission.

Got it already, thanks. Now if only I can find a way to get gmail to stop asking for permission. Editing the selector.utf didn't seem to do it, as it has in the past.

This edit works for preventing the "permission to connect" on previous .cabs? Please let me know how? Currently working with a program that requires JAVA but getting around that permission everytime is a pain in the a**.

There's a few versions of java out there that work, but you need to edit the selector.utf file and change the 'untrusted' to something else (don't have a selector.utf handy, or I could tell you exactly).

I'll see which build of java I have that was most recent (keep in mind it's *not* a VGA version, and text will be quite small), and try to post i here.

Thanks for the quick response. I been looking for the permission fix for some time now... Only need JAVA, preferably the Sprint JAVA for non-VGA devices. If you have a sprint java.cab or know where to find one, that would be great. If not, and if I'm reading your post correctly; you have a registry edit that will remove the permission. If you have a free minute, please detail.

The fix (its not a registry edit) doesn't work for the newest build of java (it still asks for permission to connect).

I need to see if I still have the version of java that doesnt, it was like 200806 something or another if I remember.

Where do we download the latest Java runtime from? (that works on Sprint Touch pro)
(so that Java applets in websites will work)

Re: JAVA Client for Sprint Touch Pro

But what about things like KVM, Java ME...Jbed....and also maybe Java games support for Pocket PC?

At the Java site, it says Java for mobile may be integrated with the device if the manufacturer does that.
Does the TP come with Java installed?

If there is Java support on the device, (and/or if Java games work), then having Java work from browsers and websites should be possible, right?

Pardon me I am a total noob here on this.
