Re: Backlight on 4 buttons stays on
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^bump^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
same here would like to know as well. I think it has something to do with running apps even sometimes with activesync, if i close them the lights go out. |

Re: Backlight on 4 buttons stays on
I know that sometimes it takes a couple pressings of the sleep button for the lights to go off. Its not very useful when on, so im annoyed by it not working cutting off

Re: Backlight on 4 buttons stays on
So its not just me. I thought it was a defect. There seems to be no reasoning for it. I try to re create it but no luck. I come back after a while of my unit being off and the lights still on . Killing battery.

Re: Backlight on 4 buttons stays on
Pop in a CD from killswitch Engage while running/driving to your nearest sprint store and exchange it (if one is in stock). Mine doesn't do that and i use sprint stock rom with NO tweaks installed. So if your running a tweak program, try uninstalling it and see what happenes. If it's all stock, return it as it might be defective.

Re: Backlight on 4 buttons stays on
this has happened to me twice in the 2 weeks i've had this phone...so it's not uncommon but not common either. the first time it happened i just soft reset the unit. the second time, i was looking through the htc photo album, closed the app and then pressed the sleep button and the lights stayed on. i woke the device up, opened the photo album again, closed the photo album again, and then put it into sleep, and the buttons went out. weird.

Re: Backlight on 4 buttons stays on
It happens for me whenever I press the power button and either of the two volume buttons simultaneously, so I'm just careful not to do so anymore.

Re: Backlight on 4 buttons stays on
I have noticed this, but only when I lock the phone, then press the power button to turn off the screen. It only rarely happens. I have just gotten used to looking at the 4 buttons after turning the screen off to make sure they are not lit up.
