Thanks!

I think this is still up in the air... be sure to install 3.5 before the picmail update cab... and soft reset in between. just to be sure.

3.5 is necessary to some programs that you might want to install...

Use this one

Seems odd that such a simple program would break picture mail. But I can report that, so far, I've gotten all the pics I've been told I've been sent and vice versa. I have noticed that in sending pics to myself, the picture is reduced quite a bit in size. I hope that someone comes up w/ a way to send the full-res pic [or is that what e-mail is for? :)] or even a more reliable way. Love this forum, would never have thought of removing the personalizer. Thanks.

Personalizer changes the CarrierID in 3 different places in the system on your phone. One of these changes obviously effects picturemail. There have also been a lot of network issues with Sprint (text messages delayed, as well as picture messages). I once received a text 2 days after it was sent. I have since thrown Sprint picturemail in the proverbial trash can and have started using Arcsoft MMS with 0 problems.

Well, you learn something new everyday. So far, the stock picturemail seems to be working for me, though it isn't as instantaneous as I'd like it to be. Is that Arcsoft program something you have to pay for, and how do you go about making it the default MMS app?

this is a simple fix. for sprint users use this Attachment 26667 this will allow you to have the personalizer and get pic mail. you even get mms's so now your animated pic mail will actually be animated. for the non sprint users do a search for Arcsoft mms cab

Is uninstalling Sprint's picmail app necessary or just install this cab and it will work?

Went ahead and installed the cab and now it seems to be working perfectly. I didn't uninstall the previous Sprint Picturemail app but it removed the MMS from the mail tab and integrated it with the SMS tab along w/ adding a new icon for new mail and sound and it seems to be working perfectly. Thanks!

Actually, I think that it does thread the MMS. I've included some screenshots, you click the little icons in the 'conversation' and it opens the pic, allowing you to zoom, save the pic to your device or whatever. I hope this goes towards upgrading my status from 'lurker' haha, that has a bad ring to it. Thanks again, ClevelandWheeler, this is an awesome solution. If anyone would like additional screenshots, feel free to ask. Have a good one :)
