Re: Transfer Movies from CPU to PRO???
Use a media converter to re-size your torrents...
Try http://www.mediaconverter.org/ On step 3, it gives you the option to change the resolution of the video... I would pick the 640 x 480 resolution, since that's what the Touch Pro is rated at.. Hope that helps... |

Re: Transfer Movies from CPU to PRO???
I dunno this is one reason why I love htc wm devices
I remember a year ago, I downloaded some movies from torrent and veohtv. And I didn't have any time to convert it. But I installed TCMPC on my apache. So, the files were in mkv (dual audio anime files) and I dragged and dropped it to my 4gb mini sd card at the time. And I left I started to play the files voila! they worked and the quality was fantastic without having to go through any sort of media conversion. I swear by wm devices because of this drag and drop is so easy |

Re: Transfer Movies from CPU to PRO???
those multi part files are more then likely rar files. u need winrar to extract the movie out of the multi part dl. If so it will look like this whatever movie.rar .01 .02 ect. ect. or whatever movie.part00 .part01 ect ect open the .rar or part.00 file with winrar and you will see the movie u dled inside drag the file out and drop where u want the movie phone storage card or folder on your pc. After the extraction is done then u can close win rar and delete the milti part files as you won't need them anymore.
The reason this is done is the file sizes are large and win rar can compress better then standard zip compression saving download time. The other reason it is popular is say something goes wrong with the download and a file gets corrupted all u need to re download is the messed up part, not the whole file, again saving time and bandwith. |

Re: Transfer Movies from CPU to PRO???
When ever you compress a video to a smaller resolution, there will be some loss in quality... Its inevitable.. However, if you decide to have the file converted to a high-quality format, and still reduce the resolution, I think that the quality loss will be minimized... Just be sure that if you convert the video into a different format, make sure your phone can play it...

Here is the link to it... The Free version is what I use... This is the link to the download page, and it may start up automatically.. http://kinoma.com/freeplay/download/ Most of the files I download are .flv or .wmv.. If the Kinoma Player cannot play it, I usually convert the video to .wmv, using Mediaconveter.org.. After I convert it, I use ActiveSync to transfer it.. What specifically are you having trouble with? |
