Re: Really newbie WinMo Question
pretty much its the usage of the phone... the more programs you open, the more the memory is getting used...the higher the percentage goes up

Re: Really newbie WinMo Question
So whats an acceptable range where the phone isnt being overly taxed and at what point should a soft reset be necessary? Cuz ive noticed if I play some music or a video that the percentage goes up, but even after closing down the app, it doesnt go back down to the previous level. Running TF3D im usually in the 35-50 range.

Re: Really newbie WinMo Question
It is fine don't worry about it. Plenty of memory. If you would prefer to stare at that number and be concerned, switch to a Mogul.

Re: Really newbie WinMo Question
yea, it's just the percentage of the RAM your currently using. So I guess if it's a higher number, that means your running more intense programs, which in effect would lower your battery life.
So yea, a lower number would, in effect, mean better battery life, mostly.

Re: Really newbie WinMo Question
That's a Microsoft issue Do the same thing on a PC. Open task manager and check your memory usage. Open Word, Excel, whatever then close them all. You'll notice that it doesn't release all the memory back.

Re: Really newbie WinMo Question
LMAO! After reading your post I realized I haven't looked at that number since I kicked my mogul to the curb.
