Um, my touch pro came with apps for both facebook and myspace. I bought it last weekend.

Those are just links to the mobile version of their site. You're actually browsing the site via Opera 9.5.

for facebook i use Snap2Face although its pretty slow since its only QVGA. and for myspace (uploading pictures) i use either Cellspin, or the built in functionality in the picture mail app to upload and post.

You can try yahoo go 3.0 mobile widgets. Also works for ebay.

Note you will need a yahoo ID

1. Download Yahoo Go 3.0 for touchscreens (attached for convienience)
2. Install the cab and it will launch the app
3. Go to the widget tab and add the myspace widget


NOTE: Yahoo go only supports qvga so the graphics can be messed up on some pages. Scrolling usually clears it up. However the myspace widget does better.

This isn't a facebook app, but it has the chat option. I really think that is what most people are wanting.

All I'm looking for is the chat option for facebook, that's what I miss and I guess the only thing I can't do right now from my phone

Right, did you check out Ebuddy? It has that option. You will need java before it works, try esmertec java. Once you have that installed just say your TP is the diamond and it will work fine.

Cool anytime. It has trouble signing in for me on Esmertec. I was lookin everywhere for a facebook chat too!

Snap2Face sucks. I just use facebook mobile on Opera and upload pics using Picture Mail.

I found this app for facebook called face mobilizer. It seems to work pretty good. Some of the OK buttons in the right hand corner don't seem to work sometimes but other than that, I can update my status; write on my friend's walls.

All of the programs that I have tried (friend mobilizer, snap2face etc.) are pretty crappy. There either not optimized for vga, not touch friendly, or not user friendly. Blows my mind we dont have a facebook application yet. I hated the mobile webpage version but have since gotten used to it, I installed a .cab that lets me upload pics straight from the photo album, only feature I am missing is chat (will check out link above).

i use palringo for facebook chat works really well for me...

After doing the registry hack on the Palringo to add facebook I can't seem to login into facebook to add the service...am I missing something

I see the facebook service, under the add service menu, I put in my facebook email i use under username and my facebook password under the password space...is this right?...I did do a softrest before all this

If anybody was wondering my girl uses IM+ for myspaceIM.

It lets you sign in to a bunch of different chat services at once. I think facebook was one of them but Im not exactly sure. I only set it up once for her now she does it. She uses it for myspaceIM and AIM and they work perfectly.

Its not a free program but yah know.

I don't use any apps, I just use the standard m.facebook.com or m.myspace.com from Opera Mobile...

do you have a touch pro? no body I have talked to has been able to get this to work. What other facebook chat solutions exist?
