In Call Speaker Problem

Ive had my touch pro for a little over a month now from sprint, ive tried a few different roms just to get a feal of which one i like the best, now today i have noticed that when i place or receive a call the speaker does not work, cant hear the person on the other end, and they cant hear me. the strange thing is if i slide the phone open, it starts working again, once i close it, nothing but silence. Speakerphone also works just fine either way. I tried going back to the factory rom and still the same issue, no sound during a call while the phone is closed. Has anyone else heard of this issue?
