So i'm assuming these values are specific to your own phone number, or carrier? I don't have an extra phone laying around at work to get the info from...but my buddy here has a T-Mobile Wing, will that work?

Here's how you can fix this on your own...

1. Save this file somewhere convenient, like your Desktop or My Documents.
2. Connect your phone to your computer using your USB cable.
3. When ActiveSync pops up, let it do its thing, and then click the "Explore" button on the toolbar.
4. Copy the file (drag and drop usually works best) to the phone.
5. Disconnect the phone from the computer.
6. On the phone, go to Start > Programs > File Explorer.
7. Find the file on your phone (or My Documents or wherever you put it).
8. Tap on the program to run it. This utility will get your MSL code (you'll want to keep a record of this for future use).

Now, here's what to do with the code...

1. Open the phone dialer and dial ##3282# ... this will open the EPST tool.
2. Click Edit.
3. Type in your MSL code from above.
4. Select "Active Profile" in the list.
5. Click Menu, then Edit.
6. Change the value to "1" and click OK.
7. Click OK or Yes as prompted until the phone reboots.
8. Once the phone reboots, go to Start > Settings > System tab and click the Update Profile option.

If that doesn't fix it, you definitely need to take it in to the Sprint store, because something is definitely wrong with the phone's registration.

If the BAFMSL program complains about not having the .NET framework installed, install it using this installer (can follow the instructions above for installing it too).

I did everything but when I tried to update the profile I got an error code 1012

Thanks leetsauce! The support had already walked me through the manual setup, but left out one crucial step "Active Profile" in ##data# and mine was set to 0 changed it to 1. That enabled internet, after soft reset.

I was told by two different reps, that there is a problem with activation right now when changing phones, and it "might" be fixed this afternoon.

I've done everything as well.. (I swapped my phone last night, my 1st touch pro had no problems w/ data)

I'll either get error code 1012 or get a count down timer that resutls in no update found for my phone.

No, you need to get the values from a CDMA phone, preferably one that was active on your account. Your buddy's T-Mobile Wing will not have the values you seek.

If you guys have already manually activated voice/text, and have an older CDMA WM phone lying around, try what I did and copy over the values from ##DATA#.

My data worked last night but this morning it has stopped and my profile is 0. will update the profile once i get my msl code after work.

But what I am wondering is why would my profile change and have any of you had your phone revert back to 0 after changing it.

I just swapped out my phone for a newer build and now have this problem.

How are the newer builds? Any difference to the old builds (other than your earpiece which was bad)? Most notably, any difference with screen edge sensitivity?

If you read the thread, you would see that Sprint data provisioning is down right now, so you won't be able to get anything to work until it is back up.

Question: whenever I use the TF3d to look at setting, its the data connection is off. Shouldnt the Data connection always be on in order to receive text, pictures and email?
