Must I always turn on Bluetooth Wireless Headphones

I'm using a Wireless Gear bluetooth headset.

Question: Each time I want to use the headset, I have to enter the Bluetooth settings on my Touch Pro and tell it to set device as wireless headset. Is there a way to have it automatically use the headphones whenever they're turned on? I see an icon appear at the top of my Touch Pro's display whenever I turn my headphones on. So, it recognizes them. But, the actual Wireless Stereo icon doesn't display until I manually set it in the Bluetooth settings menu.
