Re: pocketsnes on touch pro, anyone run it?
I just tried both very briefly. PocketSNES wouldn't map anything to hardware buttons, every button just had the same address. PocketNester would map to buttons, but I couldn't get the display to stay in landscape mode while trying to play a game.
I only spent about 5 minutes messing around with either one, so there may be (hopefully) ways around both of those that I didn't see. |

You could always try playing using the keyboard

Re: pocketsnes on touch pro, anyone run it?
I have tried both. PocketSNES is pretty straight forward and works fine. The A, B, X, and Y buttons are on the screen (so you can only hit one at a time) and you use the D-Pad to move around. I have over 100 SNES ROMs on my Pro and most work great. As for PocketNester, I cannot find a way to make it run in landscape, and everytime I try to run it, I have to remap the buttons that I want to use. It's enough of a hassle that I don't even try to run PocketNester anymore.

PocketNester is working great for me on the Pro. I use landscape (fullscreen) with keyboard and don't have to remap keys each time I want to play.

Re: pocketsnes on touch pro, anyone run it?
Maybe I'm picky but Nops' SNES that i tried wasn't playable, since it was about half speed?
Also - the only nes emulator I've used (smartgear) was somewhat slow and jittery due to the frameskips. It's primarily because of the VGA screen, and sound of course - so I'm kinda giving up on emulation on the Touch Pro. If someone has an emulator that plays close to full speed, please let the rest of us know. |
