auto correct enhancement kills SYM button on keyboard??

Am I the only one that loses functionality of the SYM button on the keyboard after doing this modification?

For those that hate the annoying/ laggy stock T9 word correction. You can revert to using the one most of us are familiar with from the Mogul etc.

Well damn, you're right. Sym is broke once switching on Auto-Correction. Just another give-n-take situation.

I prefer auto-correct though, so I guess it's bye-bye symbols.

Confirmed for me too and agreed, having the old auto-correct is worth it (certainly better than the pesky T9 method). You can always use a soft keyboard to get a symbol if you really had to.

Hmmm, does anyone have the original registry information for that hack? I want to revert back to it to test something out and forgot to backup :(
