Did your prob started after reflashing? well b4 you deal with the store as last resort, do a hard reset, test it out ,go back to stock and see what happens.
Sorry bout that dude, you at least can move stuff to SD and then again to TP, correct?

Hmmmm....I have had the same problem and the combo of steps I posted have always worked..but I am using the stock rom though, so ?????
the only other simple step I can think of is try plugging the USB sync cable into one of the USB ports on the back of your tower on your desktop PC ..that is if that is what you are using or possibly try system restore to before when you had a connection.....try another USB cable....it seems as though it might be a software or pc problem with active sync....you could also check windows firewall exceptions by going to the control panels->Firewall Setting and check the box to enable the Allow Exceptions feature..also make sure that you have file sharing checked on your PC here is an article I found on microsoft website:

"
The root of the problem is that ActiveSync 4.x switched to an RNDIS TCP/IP connection method, rather than the old, reliable serial USB. Hence, if you're using firewalls or A/V solutions that in any way fiddle with your TCP/IP interface, ActiveSync would fail. Fail here means "no partnership," "could not connect," etc. etc. etc.
There is a method to change BACK to the old USB serial connection. Some phones/PDAs have the USB-to-PC connection icon & you can turn off "advanced network options" (approximate wording) in there. My HTC PPC6700 did NOT have this icon, so I was DOA.
I went to HTC's website, specified my phone & carrier & downloaded "ActiveSyncMode.sa.CAB." I downloaded it using a WiFi connection, direct to my phone. You could also save it to your SD card & launch it from there. It DID NOT LOAD on the first try, although the file launched. I did a soft reset and tried again & it worked. After install, there was an "ActiveSync Mode" icon under Settings. I switched the connection type to USB Serial and ActiveSync is currently humming away, synching up my media files.
So, find the "ActiveSyncMode.sa.CAB" download at your carrier's or your manufacturer's website. Contact their Tech Support if needed. Get it onto your phone via web or storage card. Load it up (soft reset if necessary) and live happily every after.
I found the ActiveSync Mode info on a Windows Mobile developer website -- not easy to find. So, if you have accounts in other forums where this topic is discussed, please repost this entry there. I intend to repost this in a few places, but wider distribution is better. There are lots of people trying hard resets, disabling firewall SW, etc., without getting anywhere"

I hope some of this helps you with your problem.....try not to worry there is always a fix somewhere

Re: Pro not connecting to active sync

another thing to check is That setting, the advanced network functionality unchecked, should remain unchecked. Once you disable the advanced network functionality the first time, you do not have to go there anymore.
Just a side note, If you have changed the the ROMs like you said then it probably did not re-enable that option. you have to go back and disable it.

*there is also a chance that from trying to connect unsuccessfully there may be some of the following processes still running which will also prevent a connection and are responsible for error message "you might need active sync 4.5 or higher"
in this case, just kill "rapimgr.exe", "WCESMGR.exe" and "wcescomm.exe" in taskmgr; then clear port 990 in whatever program is using it, restart Microsoft Activesync and try again

You can still use that se4tting...not sure if it makes any performance differance though. It was probably corrupted when first installed so you can go to device manager on your PC, find that device (by having the setting checked and your phone plugged into the PC) then select that device and uninstall it. Then disconnect and reconnect your phone and it should detect it again and reinstall the driver. Should work the second time.

You should try this.. go to Settings, then Connections, then USB to PC, then uncheck "enable advanced network functionality". That worked for me when I had the same problem.

That worked for me thanks!

Re: Pro not connecting to active sync

Friend's Touch Pro experienced the same issue a couple days ago. Took a look at it, tried a few things, nothing worked, and I hate having to uncheck the ActiveSync advanced functionality option on the phone.

Then, took a wild stab:
1 - Attach USB cable from phone to PC.
2 - Fire up Internet Connection sharing on phone, and click connect...
3 - Hit disconnect

This action was able to restore the ActiveSync functionality (without having to uncheck that "advanced functionality" option). As soon as I disconnected the internet connection sharing (even if the internet connection sharing doesn't fully complete the connection on the PC), ActiveSync fired up and detected the phone.

Im also having the same prob. Computers not finding my phone at all but it is charging when connected to the computer. Nothing else in here has worked. Ill try this one but can you please explain how to do the Internet Connection sharing on the phone.
